 Research Project:

My current research project studies the role of gonadotropins and its pathways in follicular dynamics in the mare.

Initially we studied a newGnRH antagonist, evaluating dose response and differential LH and FSH response in the horse. Later we use this drug at different points of follicular development. Now we are evaluating the effect of the antagonist at expected deviation time and the involvement of IGF-I as a critical factor in the intrafollicular response to gonadotropins at this specific time of follicular development.
